Wenda wins two important international Awards
Food Logistics, the only publication dedicated exclusively to the movement of products through the global cold chain, and Supply & Demand Chain Executive, the only publication covering the entire global supply chain, have selected Wenda as one of the Top Tech Startups 2022 an award that highlights the best software and technology startups in the supply chain and logistics industry.
In addition, Food Logistics named Wenda among the winners of the Top Software & Technology Providers 2022 award, which recognizes software and technology providers that ensure a safe, efficient and reliable cold chain for food & beverage.
Wenda founders Antonio Catapano and Mattia Nanetti commented: "We are very satisfied, after the period of full pandemic we have restarted very well working with international realities, especially on issues of Artificial Intelligence applied to document reading, email and collaborative technologies to enable different supply chain actors to work on shared track&trace, stock and cold chain."
This year's Top Tech Startup 2022 winners operate in a variety of market sectors, but AI-based automation and real-time transportation visibility make up the majority of winners (35% and 33%, respectively) and generate revenues of $1 million to $20 million annually.
"From early funding rounds to launching new solutions, many of today's tech startups are poised to disrupt the supply chain industry. They are introducing new innovations, improving user experience and aiming for a safer, smarter and more efficient supply chain," says Marina Mayer, Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive. "The future of the supply chain industry is directly impacted by the development of these new technologies, and I am very excited to see what will happen to the winners."
Three of the overall winners have been selected to present at Manifest's Innovation Stage, scheduled for Jan. 31 to Feb. 2, 2023, while some of the other winners will be featured in the Education Program.
This year's winners will also be featured on Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive.

Instead, the common thread among this year's Top Software & Technology Providers winners is their convergence on investment and implementation of emerging technologies, from mobile technology and Internet of Things (IoT) to food safety management, from scheduling to warehouse management, and more.
Today's software and technology offerings provide flexibility, efficiency, security, visibility and more, and offer end-to-end management from farm to fork and beyond.
"According to Statista, the supply chain management software segment is expected to reach $18.04 billion this year. This figure includes all emerging software solutions such as barcode systems, FinTech, inventory control, mobile technology, robotics, wireless technology and more," said Marina Mayer, Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive. "These vendors and their solutions have been implanted to address the challenges of the temperature-controlled food supply chain, whether it's port closures, driver safety or simply automating a process."
This year's award winners will be featured in the November/December 2022 print issue of Food Logistics.

Wenda is an Italian scaleup that helps managers automate operations in supply chain and logistics: through AI it extracts data from orders, ddt, invoices, packing lists, telematics, ERP, WMS, TMS and organizes them to perform operations in transit, warehouse, back-office and network coordination and gain visibility or send them to third-party systems.
Wenda's solutions are enabled by scalable technologies that allow it to manage multiple users and operations at the same time, handle large volumes of data even from IoT hardware instead of just software, and thanks to AI and Machine Learning it can automatically understand data written in logistics documents and automate back-office operations.
Food Logistics reaches more than 26,000 food and beverage supply chain executives globally, including executives from the food industry (growers, producers, manufacturers, wholesalers, and grocers) and logistics (transportation, warehousing, distribution, software, and technology) who share a common interest in the operations and business aspects of the global cold supply chain.
Supply & Demand Chain Executive is the only supply chain publication that covers the entire global supply chain, focusing on transportation, warehousing, packaging, purchasing, risk management, professional development, and more.
