Wenda is the coordinator of Beverage Integrity Tracking, a financed project part of the IoF2020 “Fruit Trial”.

What is IoF2020?
A EU specifically IoT dedicated financement stream aimed at agritech and foodtech projects (IoF=Internet of Food&Farm)
The IoF2020 objective is ambitious: make a step forward towards a more sustainable food value chain with the help of IoT technologies.

The IoF2020 objective completely match the Wenda vision and will to innovate: set up a more sustainable, tracked and zero waste food chain, stimulating the IoT tech in the industry.

Wenda is active in the whole food&beverage sector, but for this specific project has decided to concentrate on the beverage one (wine, beer, olive oil). The Beverage Integrity Tracking, will be developed in partnership with 4 other European companies (SIVE, VINIDEAs; Highclere Consulting; VINIDEA) and aims at:

• Empower the beverage supply-chain with a shared, affordable Plug and Play platform;
• Make the wine distribution process more transparent to both wineries, merchants and consumers;
• Create a blockchain environment for users to certify the data for legal use;
• Establish a general database with data from all the participants on wine shipping open through license to insurance companies to propose IoT-based insurance policies;
  Build up useful knowledge on transportation conditions to optimise future deliveries;
• Reduce costs derived from the hazards of transportation;
• Ensure the quality of wine during transport, by tracking wines from producer to consumer with sensors that register temperature, humidity, and shock.
