Wenda, Consorzio Agrario di Parma and CA Le Village join forces to automate Supplier Transport Documents with AI

Le Village by Crédit Agricole Parma facilitates a strategic partnership between Consorzio Agrario di Parma and Wenda srl in the area of Artificial Intelligence to automate the management of Supplier Transport Documents, optimizing operational efficiency, significantly reducing processing time and improving back-office activities.

A new era of business efficiency has begun for the Consorzio Agrario di Parma, which has decided to invest in the Active Document project developed by Wenda srl – an SME at the forefront of technology and AI solutions for logistics and supply chain.
This project aims to simplify the process of uploading goods to an internal management system for the Consorzio and its agencies from Supplier Transportation Documents (henceforth TDs), bringing a breath of fresh air to the business operations.
The Consorzio's insight is well motivated: indeed, it is known that by 2025, the global market for document management systems will reach $10.17 billion, with a CAGR of 13%
¹.

This project was inspired by Le Village by Crédit Agricole Parma.
Indeed, Le Village by Crédit Agricole Parma played a key role in facilitating the collaboration between the Consorzio Agrario di Parma, part of its robust ecosystem, and Wenda.
Le Village conveniently connected the Consorzio with Wenda, creating a synergy that has opened up promising new business prospects for both parties involved.

In this regard, Mattia Nanetti, Co-founder and COO of Wenda, said, "Wenda finds in Le Village a partner that offers access to business expertise and access to potential customers-the most important resource that innovation needs!"
On the same tenor were the statements of Armando Cipelli, Director of Le Village by CA Parma: "It is a great joy for us to be able to communicate that one of the startups with which Le Village has started an important path of mutual growth since day one, collaborates with Consorzio Agrario di Parma in a project with a strong innovative value for the economy and development of the entire territory."

How the AI solution works

Active Document is an innovative solution created by Wenda that integrates Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and document automation.
It is used by the Consorzio Agrario di Parma to optimize workflows related to the loading of goods from TDs, simplifying each step of the process.
In each Consorzio agency and in the central office, each TD sent by suppliers is scanned and converted into an image file, and then stored locally.
The Active Document solution then allows the scanned TD to be uploaded to the Wenda platform, and Wenda's Artificial Intelligence model analyzes and processes the TDs, and then extracts relevant information from each document. These include VAT Number, Supplier's Business Name, TD Date, TD Document Number, Internal Product Code, Supplier Product Code, Description, Quantity, and Unit of Measurement.
A file with this information is then transferred to a space dedicated to the Consorzio.
The Consorzio's internal management system automatically takes this file, opens an automated procedure, reads the file and manages the loading of the goods indicated in the scanned TD.
The solution uses an advanced notification system to ensure that each step in the process is efficient and transparent. In addition, the management of document statuses, from the loading of the scanned TD to processing by the AI model, is fully automated

Active Document also offers an innovative item master data management solution: codes in supplier TDs are converted to the company's internal codes to further simplify the goods loading process. The master data is updated regularly every 6 hours to ensure up-to-date and complete data at all times.

All this is done with minimal staff intervention (limited to a quick check of the goods to be loaded), which is therefore freed from repetitive activity and refocused on tasks with greater added value for the Consorzio.

We have started a wonderful activity with a company, the Consorzio, made up of people who are open to the new. Thanks to the Village for opening up this knowledge!
