Wenda attended Fresh on the Way S.L. annual dinner

Friday, October 4, Liliana Briganò, skilled manager with deep experience in international negotiations and Wenda’s Sales Director, was in Murcia, Spain, to participate in the annual dinner organized by Fresh on the Way S.L. for its partners and clients.

Fresh on the Way S.L. is a Spanish company dedicated to provide all-around logistical services to different actors of the Agrifood industry, specifically to operators in the Fruit and Vegetables sector. Fresh on the Way S.L. offers multimodal logistical services and guarantees that the products it handles get to their destination in perfect conditions.

Held in Murcia – one of Spain’s most productive areas regarding the Fruit and Vegetables sector – Fresh on the Way S.L. annual dinner was attended by insurance companies, logistical operators and clients. Fresh on the Way S.L. had the chance to share the account of the activities it carried out throughout 2019 with a strongly motivated audience, of which 90% were producers interested in the sector’s innovations. Among Fresh on the Way S.L. clients it is worth noting the presence of a cooperative which brings together more than 1100 Fruit and Vegetables Spanish producers.

For Wenda, this meeting represented a unique brand internationalization opportunity: Liliana Briganò has indeed presented Wenda and its only cross-chain and cross-device Platform that can turn supply chain control  from a cost center to a competitive edge.

While outlining the benefits of the Platform, Liliana talked about the experience of a Spanish company with Wenda Food Integrity Management Hub, finding a watchful involvement of all the attendees and thus elaborating on the event’s outcomes: “This meeting was held in a characteristic atmosphere and for Wenda represented a major visibility opportunity in this business reality characterized by a high productive potential. Fresh on the Way S.L.’s guests took a positive view of our Platform, stating that through it you can employ a tool to give considerable guarantees on product freshness, from production to consumption”.

In a context in which Food&Beverage supply chains gained a global reach, Wenda believes and invests more and more in the importance of brand internationalization and the expansion of the target market.

Wenda Food Integrity Management Hub

We at Wenda, an Italian startup backed by European investors, aim to contribute with our technological innovations to fix some of the issues affecting Food&Beverage actors who carry out temperature-controlled operations. To this end, we deliver Wenda Food Integrity Management Hub, a digital platform sold Saas with an annual subscription dedicated to all the Food&Beverage actors who handle or manage perishable or sensitive products.

The Platform aims to turn supply chain control from a cost center to a competitive edge, managing all the product integrity information (i.e. cold chain, chemical tests, traceability, expiry date, shelf-life) in an advanced, easily accessible way and from a single control point on the web. It is cross-chain and cross-device, easy to implement, quite straightforward to use. Wenda’s Platform delivers:

  • An overview of integrity analytics and hazard points along which the cold chain risks to break off;
  • Differential access levels to journey data, to share the latter real-time with clients, logistics,and quality departments, insurance companies, regulatory bodies;
  • Wallet in cloud to upload and share travel papers, temperature and product quality certifications data, for each shipment or storage;
  • Integration and interoperability with different traceability systems and data logger, which are constantly evolving.

Wenda was accelerated by UniCredit, as well as by Maersk, Digital Magics and Intesa Sanpaolo. Currently, Wenda is in Copenhagen to participate to the AgriFood Program designed by Rockstart, an international company which supports and guides towards success the best startups of different business areas, among which AgriFood. Also, Wenda is supported by a German investor with data science experience, and is developing predictive algorithms to calculate product spoilage probabilities when it is shipped or stored in the warehouse. Furthermore, some prescriptive algorithms are under development: on the basis of the data gathered up to now, they will be able to show the best company decision when particular conditions or events that might disrupt the smooth flow of the product in the supply chain arise.
