Wenda at VivaTech Paris!
Wenda attended Vivatechnology Paris 2018 after being selected by the Région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (France) for a startup call. VivaTech is the world’s rendezvous for startups and leaders to celebrate innovation. From top speakers and exhibitions to open innovation and live experiences, VivaTech is a celebration of today’s innovations and tomorrow’s possibilities for everyone who believes in the power of technology to transform business and society. More than 68,000 visitors attended the 2017 edition, and this year builds on that success as startups, business leaders, investors, academics, students and media from around the world descend on Paris for three packed days. The first two days were dedicated to professionals while the third day opened its door to the general public.
Wenda answered the call, won and went to Paris to show France what it is able to do!
Antonio Catapano – Wenda’s CEO – said: “Traceability and food waste challenges are on the top of our mind, we want to tackle this problems to create a better food chain”.
Andrea Monterumisi – Wenda’s CTO – said: “We were sure our tech was interesting for the startup call”.
The startup call perfectly fit Wenda’s value proposition and mission, that is looking for tech solutions to improve traceability and transparency along the supply-chain. Consumers expect transparency from the companies from which they buy, especially in the food industry. Implementing transparency and traceability along the global supply chain will help food companies win business by driving consumer trust and loyalty. Although domestic and international regulations can increase the complexity of the global food supply chain, IoT technologies can make it easy for both consumers and companies to track products.
Ultimately, three days spent in Paris showing and pitching got Wenda to sit with very big groups such as Google, Facebook, Uber, Orange, LVMH and many others, with whom big and deep connections were created. See you at the next event!
